Company Domain Push VS Alternative Domain Push
DFINERY offers two basic push settings.
If your website is made by your own development team we recommend using Company Domain Push.
If your website is made with a web builder such as cafe24 etc and did not have any infrastructure for the website we recommend using Alternative Domain Push.
To understand Company Domain Push and Alternative Domain Push. , you need to learn Subscription Notification Settings and Push Subscription Pop-Up.
Subscription Notification Settings
If your website sends a push permission request without any warning, your user may feel surprised by the sudden push permission request. You have to make your user feel comfortable to see these requests. To do this DFINERY Web push can send a Subscription Notification at any time you want and can make a design for the UX.
In Company Domain Push, the user will see the push permission request after the Subscription Notification.
In Alternative Domain Push, the user will see the push permission request after the Subscription Notification -> Push Subscription Pop Up.
Push Subscription Pop Up
In Alternative Domain Push, you cannot request push permission directly after the subscription notification is complete. So DFINERY will open another push subscription popup and this popup will request push permission. You can customize the push subscription popup with your brand image.
Advantage of each push
1. Company Domain Push: This push requires all of your websites to run in HTTPS.
a. You can send push messages with your domain name.
b. You don't need another popup to open for push permission requests.
2. Alternative Domain Push: This push can send HTTPS, and HTTP environments.
a. You don't need HTTP / HTTPS restriction.
b. You can customize your push request popup with your brand UX.
Browser Notification permission
Web push is sent through your web browser.
So you the user need to accept browser push permission to receive push messages.
If your user's browser did not accept browser push permission, the user has to accept browser push permission manually.
Safari Certification
To send a push message on the Safari browser, it requires registering p12 certification in DFINERY Console.
Reference : [Get Safari Certification]

Web Link Open Policy
If the user receives a push message in Company Domain push, you can choose either to open the link with a new tab or open the link with the current tab. To use the current tab, the domain name with your link with a push message must be the same as your website domain.
※ This policy is not a requirement and if you do not choose this push message the link will open with a new tab.
